Amador Flower Farm, located in the center of Amador County Wine Country, is a beautiful day-trip destination. It’s a quiet retreat that specializes in daylilies.
Many visitors come to this part of Amador County for wine tasting, but they miss out on a hidden gem. The Amador Flower Farm boasts beautiful gardens filled with daylilies, a lovely picnic area next to a small lake, and a charming little gift shop.
The Amador Flower Farm is spread over 13 walkable acres and boasts nearly 1,000 floral varieties. Visitors can enjoy the fragrance of daylilies at any time of the year. However, spring and early summer offer the most flowers and are the best times to visit.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Farm. Take your picture with the Easter Bunny and enjoy a picnic. Spring Fling (first weekend in April) hourly demonstrations by gardening experts. Amador Flower Farm is open daily from 9:00 a.m. – to 4:00 pm, March through November—December through February, and Thursday through Sunday. Admission is free. Pets are not allowed. Potted daylilies can be purchased at the gift store along with gardening-related items.
Directions from Sacramento: Take Hwy 16 East to Plymouth, turn right on Shenandoah Road, continue 4 miles, and turn right on Shenandoah School Rd.
