H and M Landing is San Diego’s oldest Sportfishing company. Most of the year, they offer half-day, full-day, and multi-day fishing trips out of San Diego Harbor. During the annual gray whale migration, they offer whale-watching trips popular with families and groups.
H and M Landing also offer Baja California adventure expeditions. All whale-watching trips include informative narration about whales and their migration along the California coast. Crews are friendly and helpful, and experts find whales. Chances are you will spot whales and definitely see otters and the usual dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
An onboard galley offers snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate, which hits the spot on a cool morning run out to find whales off the San Diego Coast. Bring along sunglasses and light jacket chances are it will get windy off the coast. A good cell phone with a camera is a must. Trips are offered from mid-November through mid-April. During peak whale watching, there are morning and afternoon trips. Mornings there will probably be fog; afternoon wind can be expected. Trips last about three hours. H and M Landing has been offering whale watching since 1935 and has the experience of finding whales. If they are out there, H and M will find them.
Children need to be at least two years old and 35 pounds. Minor children require adult supervision at all times. If you have a problem with motion sickness, pick up an over-the-counter medicine, or purchase it at H and M Landing ticket counter.

The U.S. Coast Guard requires a valid picture I.D. on all passengers, including minors, on all trips. Bring your driver’s license, school I.D., or other documents. Proper documentation for a child can be a school I.D. or birth certificate.
