SoCal Whale Watching Season
From May to November, visitors to San Diego can see the magnificent blue and finback whales off the coast. The blue whale, the largest animal ever to exist on Earth, can reach lengths of over 100 feet. These two whale species can be spotted feeding 5 to 9 miles offshore from early summer to fall.
Whale Watching Trips
Exciting whale-watching tours are typically last for three hours. Our knowledgeable captain and crew will provide insightful narration during the trip. In addition to spotting whales, you may also catch a glimpse of dolphins, sea lions, blue whales, or even an orca. We offer two whale watching trips on weekends, one at 10:00 am and another at 1:00 pm, and one-weekday trip departing at 1:00 pm.
Fishing Trips
Seaforth Sportfishing offers year-round sports fishing day trips. Half-day fishing trips are popular with beginners and casual anglers. Fishing ranges from La Jolla south to Imperial Beach, giving you a good view of the California coastline and good fishing.
3/4 day, overnight, and 1.5-day fishing trips are best suited for more experienced anglers, but everyone is welcome. Privately fishing charters are also available. Bring your fishing gear, or you can rent tackle from Seaforth Sportfishing.
