Treebones Resort is a unique, almost magical lodging experience along the California Big Sur Coast. Featuring three ocean view tent campsites (one with a twig hut), cozy yurts, and a vast 500-square-foot tent with a private deck and outdoor fire pit.
At Treebones Resort, guests can unwind by the private pool or relax in the hot tub. The oceanview Wild Coast restaurant is on-site, boasting fresh organic greens harvested from the resort’s garden and the only Sushi Bar in Big Sur. The restaurant is open to the public and gives visitors a taste of the resort, even if they don’t have reservations.
Treebones Resort Yurts
The resort features two partial ocean views, one mountain view, and three total ocean views. Each yurt comes with a king or queen-size bed, table & chairs, hot & cold running water with a sink, and a redwood deck where you can enjoy Big Sur’s sunsets.
Campsites
Camping at Treebones is considerably less expensive than renting a yurt. Guests must provide everything. Bring your tent, camping supplies, and camp stove. No campfires are allowed due to the high fire hazard in the area. Campers can use the resort’s pool and hot tub. One campsite has an ocean view twig nest perfect for snuggling.
Autonomous Tent
The Autonomous Tent is the largest of the glamping tents and the only accommodation at the resort with its full bathroom with shower and toilet. Yurt and campsite guests must use the shared shower and bathroom facilities. Autonomous tent reservations are usually booked out months in advance.
Treebones Resort Dining
Dining is limited to the onsite Wild Coast Restaurant. Breakfast (included), lunch, and dinner are available at the restaurant. An ocean view Sushi Bar is open Wednesday through Sunday. Restaurant hours are somewhat limited. Breakfast is included with your reservation. Lunch is served from 12 – 2 pm and dinner 5 – 8:30 pm. There is a small general store at Gorda Springs Resort just south of the resort where you can pick up snacks and grocery items.
