Spice things up this weekend and visit the Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival. One of Oxnard’s signature events, the Oxnard Salsa Festival, celebrates salsa food, music, and dance in historic downtown Oxnard.
Presented by the Oxnard Downtown, the annual event features spicy food, top-notch music, and entertainment, attracting an estimated 50,000 salsa lovers to the City of Oxnard for the two-day action-packed celebration.
Everything salsa – the food, the music, the dance – is on the menu of this famous regional festival. Event highlights include Main Stage entertainment with Salsa and Latin Jazz bands; the Salsa.
Oxnard Salsa Festival Tasting Tent
Tasting Tent, featuring over 75 different salsas; an eclectic vendor marketplace; international foods; Kids Korner attractions; chef demonstrations; a salsa recipe contest.
Main stage entertainment showtimes: 11 am, 2 pm, and 4:45 pm, both Saturday & Sunday.
On the main stage, the Salsa Contest winners will be announced on Sunday at 12:55 pm. Prizes and awards will be given for Best Red, Green, Fruit, Mild, Medium, and Hot Salsa. The judge’s Choice winner will win a cash prize from the Oxnard Salsa Festival.
An estimated 60,000 samples of specialty salsas will be dished up by local restaurants, Mexican markets, and gourmet salsa vendors inside the Festival’s big‐top Salsa Tasting Tent. The Oxnard Salsa Festival gets jam-packed.
Oxnard is 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara. Visitors can travel to the Oxnard Salsa Festival by train or car. The Oxnard Transportation Center is just three short blocks from Oxnard Plaza Park.
